Introduction

Weather data observed by FREA by the
National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the energy network team of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the Fukushima Renewable Energy Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as FREA)
We are publishing a part of it.
We also released data on 10 locations in Fukushima Prefecture acquired by the Fukushima Prefecture renewable energy next-generation technology development project that we implemented in cooperation with Fukushima Prefecture High Tech Plaza.

The main purpose of observation weather data is
to quantify total power generated by renewable energy resources (photovoltaic power generation/wind power generation) in real-time, and to evaluate the validity and accuracy of power generation simulation,
We collect data simultaneously from multiple sites in Fukushima prefecture (local observation network, wide area observation network).
Renewable energy resources here means meteorological data such as solar radiation, wind direction/wind speed, temperature, and humidity.
In order to make it possible to grasp the power generated, and in order to evaluate the validity of the simulation of the power generated, and in order to improve the accuracy,
We collect data on simultaneous measurement of renewable energy resources at multiple locations (local observation networks and wide-area observation networks) in Fukushima Prefecture.
Renewable energy resources here refer to meteorological data such as solar radiation, wind direction and speed, temperature, and humidity.
Here, you can see real-time and past data for these resource data numerically or graphically.
You can also download past data.

Types and Overview Of Weather Data

Weather data that changes in real time and past records can be viewed.
Each statistical value conforms to the statistical calculation method of " Meteorological Observation Guidelines " by Meteorological Agency.
The measured data types are temperature, wind speed, wind direction and inclined surface solar radiation intensity (20 degrees). (Humidity is also displayed for six places in Koriyama city.)
※For FREA weather observation data, cumulative rainfall, cumulative rainfall time, accumulated sunshine time, sea level pressure are also displayed.
Weather observation points are 6 locations in Koriyama city as local observation network and 5 places in Fukushima prefecture as wide area observation network.
Six locations in Koriyama city consist of five observation sites in and around FREA.
Five places in Fukushima Prefecture are five observation facilities owned by Fukushima Prefecture High Tech Plaza.
The data acquired at each observation facility is sent to the cloud at the University of Aizu, processed/accumulated. In this website, each observation data is obtained from the cloud in collaboration with the University of Aizu and displayed.
